Route: Highlights of Sichuan

DayRoute: Description
1 Chengdu Arrival: Transfer to the hotel in Chengdu. Visit of the Wenshu Temple, the best preserved und biggest buddhist temple in Chengdu. In the evening you will enjoy the famous Sichuan Opera in the Shufeng Yayun tea house. The show combines various elements like the classical Sichuan Opera, puppet play, comedy and the famous „face-changing“ performance, what makes the whole thing also suitable for children. The kids can also get their faces painted before the show, for a small fee though. 
2 Chengdu – Wenchuan: In the morning you will visit the tibetan district of Chengdu and its Wuhou Temple. In the following you will be transferred to the Giant Panda Research Center in the north of Chengdu.
Alternatively you could visit the Oolong Giant Panda Nature Reserve in Wenchuan County. (for an extra charge).

3 Wenchuan – Songpan: In the morning you will visit the Earthquake Memorial Site which is dedicated to the earthquake from 2008. Back then it destroyed almost the entire city of Wenchuan. Today some destroyed parts of the city are preserved as memorials. In the afternoon you will reach Sonpan and go for a little walk after checking-in.
4 Songpan – Jiuzahigou: Today you will explore the Hills and Woods of Songpan on the back of a horse. It takes around 2-3 hours. No need for skills in horse riding, since the local tibetan guide is well experienced. In the evening you will be transferred to Jiuzhaigou, the UNESCO World Heritage.

5 Jiuzhaigou: It is recommended to get up early and spend as much time in the park as possible. Of course you are free to choose your own route within the park but we recommend to take the Bus to the Long-Lake and to the Swan-Lake before hiking down to the Nuorilang-Waterfall. This makes sure that you are experiencing the highlights of the park. 
6 Jiuzhaigou – Chengdu: A long transfer day will bring you back to Chengdu.
7 Chengdu – Emei Shan: In the early morning we will bring you to a holy mountain of China, the Emai Shan. You will take the cable car up to the Wannan Temple. From there you reach the peak in about four hours and will be standing on 3100 altitude. The way back takes about 1,5 hours and brings you back to the bus which will transfer you to the Emei Shan village.
8 Emei Shan – Leshan – Chengdu: In the morning you will be transferred to the Grand Buddha in Leshan. The worldwide biggest statue is 71 meters high and around 1200 years old. In the following you will be transferred to the airport.
