For travelers who do not have much time but still want to experience the highlights in Tibet, we recommend our five day tour starting in the city of Lhasa. You will visit the famous Potala Palace and the astonishing Sera Monastery at which almost every day you can witness the monks discussions about religion in its garden yards. On the next day the way leads to the cradle of Tibetan culture, the Samye Monastery, where you will stay on night. The continuation of the journey brings you to the turquoise and sacred Yamdrok Lake, a beautiful place to rest for a while. To conclude the trip, we will guide you to Tibets largest Stupa (Tibetan Pagoda) and the Palcho monastery in Gyangtze.

Day Route: Description
1  Arrival in Lhasa with: Private pick-up with guide from the airport and transfer to the hotel. Depending on your arrival date, extra activities and sightseeing can be scheduled with your guide.
Your English speaking guide will welcome you in Lhasa and will suggest restaurants and introduce sights.
In the evening you can take a walk to the Potala Palace which is beautifully illuminated until 10 p.m. and which you will visit the next day from inside.

2  Lhasa visiting day: In the morning you will visit the mystic Barkhor market and the old town of Lhasa where hundreds of Tibetan pilgrims can be seen and met. Afterwards, visit the world famous Potala Palace, former residence of theDalai Lama.
Private transfer to Sera monastery, one of Tibet´s most interesting monasteries. Every day (beside Sunday´s) at 3 p.m. you can witness the monks discussing and arguing about religious topics in the garden yards of the monastery. A colorful spectacle.  
3  Lhasa – Samye Monastery: From Lhasa you take the road to the south-east and arrive after some hours of driving the region´s capital Tsedang where you have lunch. After Tsedang its only a short drive to the remote castle of Tsedang called Yumbu Lakhang. The castle has a single tower overlooking the Yarlung valley, the cradle of Tibetan culture. 
After visiting the the castle you follow the Yarlung river to Samye monastery, which you visit in the afternoon, one of the great monasteries of Tibet.

4  Samye – Gyangtze: On second first driving day out of Lhasa you will pass by the clear turquoise and sacred Yamdrok lake where you can take a break at the shores. Leaving the lake, you will soon arrive in Gyangtze where you visit the largest Stupa (Tibetan pagoda) of Tibet and the famous Palcho monastery.

5  Gyangtze – Xigatze – Lhasa airport: From Gyangtze drive to Xigatze. Visit Tashilhunpo monastery in Xigatze, one of the oldest and most impressive monasteries of Tibet.
Transfer to Lhasa airport.
